There’s something happening in Birmingham.

You can feel it in the venues, the rehearsal rooms, the independent shops, the artists, the designers and the people who continue to create something from nothing. Birmingham has never needed permission to be different — and that spirit is exactly what Nobody Apparel was built around.

What started as a small independent clothing brand is becoming something much bigger. Nobody Apparel is establishing itself as one of Birmingham’s newest alternative brands, with a very simple belief at its heart: believe in Birmingham, believe in its people and believe in the underground.

For Nobody Apparel, Birmingham isn’t simply the place where the brand happens to be based.

It’s part of the identity.

This is a city with an enormous cultural history. Birmingham’s connection to heavy music is legendary, but its creative scene stretches far beyond that. From punk and metal to alternative art, street culture, independent fashion and emerging musicians, there has always been a community of people doing things their own way.

That independent attitude is something Nobody Apparel wants to champion.

We don’t want to simply put a Birmingham postcode on a T-shirt and call it local.

We want to work with the people actually creating the culture.

One of the biggest things behind Nobody Apparel is collaboration.

We’ve been fortunate enough to work with musicians, artists and creatives from Birmingham and the wider West Midlands — people who are building their own careers, creating their own art and pushing their own ideas.

Our recent collaboration with Birmingham metal band Denied Legacy is a perfect example. Bringing together a local band and a local clothing brand isn’t just about producing a T-shirt. It’s about creating something that represents where we’re from and the scene we’re part of.

And that’s only the beginning.

Nobody Apparel wants to discover the artists, designers, photographers, musicians and creators who haven’t necessarily had their opportunity yet.

Because sometimes the most interesting talent isn’t standing underneath a spotlight.

It’s standing in the crowd.
