If I had a middle name, I’d like to think it would be “Peace.” Not the quiet kind that just means silence—but the difficult, stubborn kind that people have to fight for in a different way.

Right now the world feels like it sits between tensions: the long conflict around Israel and Palestine in the Middle East, and the war between Russia and Ukraine in Europe. In both places, people wake up every day just hoping for something simple—safety, stability, a future that isn’t defined by conflict.

So if “Peace” were my middle name, the meaning would be a reminder that the middle is where the hard work happens. Between anger and understanding. Between history and the future. Between nations that have every reason to keep fighting—but maybe one reason to stop.

Peace in the middle isn’t easy.
But maybe that’s exactly why it matters.
