What’s your favorite thing to cook?
The only thing I actually enjoy cooking is a good idea.
Not a recipe. Not a roast that needs constant attention. Not something that demands exact measurements and polite patience. None of that. I’ve never been interested in perfecting a dish just so it can be consumed and forgotten an hour later.
Ideas are different.
A good idea starts raw. Messy. Half-formed. It doesn’t come with instructions, and it definitely doesn’t promise it’ll work. It just sits there, quietly daring you to do something with it. That’s the kind of cooking I’m into.
Nobody Apparel was never about following a formula. It wasn’t about what sells, what trends, or what looks good on a spreadsheet. It came from throwing things together that weren’t supposed to mix — frustration, music, failure, stubbornness, and that constant feeling of being overlooked. Let it simmer. Let it burn a little. See what survives.
Some ideas flop. Some never leave the kitchen. Others turn into something you can wear, stand behind, and feel seen in. That’s the process. No guarantees. No Michelin stars. Just honesty.
So no, I won’t be sharing recipes anytime soon. But I will keep cooking up ideas for the ones who never quite fit, never quite followed the rules, and never wanted to.
That’s Nobody Apparel.
If you’re hungry for something real, stick around.
